This large art piece has a brutalist look and feel with a focus on raw textures. Heavy, architectural forms that resemble primitive ruins or organic, fossil-like structures. This life size piece is mounted on a wooden plank, it is heavy with two hangers on the back. The “Pia Manu” name refers to the workshop of artist Jules Dewaele and his son Koen Dewaele, based in Ingelmunster, Belgium. Pia Manu is a prominent name in the Belgian Brutalist art movement.
