Rare early desk lamp designed by Ettore Sottsass (1917-2007) for Tronconi, Italy 1979. This desk lamp was called Madison and is a very rare early designed by Ettore Sottsass Jr. this lamp was made of black and off white lacquered metal and has a plastic raster covered shade. On the end there is a red bar with plastic end. The handle is a very nice detail of this lamp. The lamp rotates and balances in different positions. The lamp is in very good original condition with original wiring. Super lamp with typical Sottsass/Memphis look. This lamp was exposed at the Sottsass exhibition from VIVID gallery Rotterdam in 2008, but there was a blue and grey edition. Height:61 cm Width:73 cm Depth:22 cm
