This refined side table can be transformed into a small dining table with just one movement. The French architect and furniture designer Charlotte Perriand (1903 - 1999) designed the table in the 1960s for the rooms of the "Les Arcs" ski resort in Saint-Maurice in the French Savoy. Perriand thus created the perfect solution for small rooms in which everything had to be compact and furniture had to serve various purposes. The deep side table becomes a coffee table or a dining table. With the help of a compression spring, the table can be continuously raised from 45 to 72cm. The table top is made of solid spruce wood, the base is made of black lacquered metal. With the four adjustable plate feet, unevenness on the floor can be compensated for so that the table is always straight and stable. Good original condition. Table top clean, but with clear patina. The underframe has been repaired every now and then over the years and is in very good condition. The mechanics work perfectly. Length 114cm. Location external warehouse. Viewing possible at any time.
