A white ceramic carafe made by artist Sem Schanzer for the l'Anverre artist collective. The carafe was produced by L'Anverre x Royal Boch. The carafe has a teardrop shape, with the handles incorporated into the design. Several other carafes have been made in different colors and materials. Sem Schanzer, a self-taught artist, was active in various fields, from sculptures and glassware to installations. He remains unbound to a specific artistic movement. This versatility can be seen in his many works of art. In 1986 he founded the l'Anverre artist collective, an interdisciplinary group based in Antwerp. As the driving force behind the group, he is also called Sem de l'Anverre. The collective shares an artistic and philosophical idea, striving to create deeper meaning in a time when technology and science seem to take us further away from our direct reality. United by nature and their commitment to culture and gender diversity, the collective has achieved international recognition. The manufacturer's mark is on the bottom.
