An Australian sculptural wooden floor lamp with a built-in table, presumably made in the 1970s. The base of the lamp is organically shaped and resembles the tail of a snake. Towards the top, the base splits into two lampshades. In the 1970s, there was a strong craft movement in Australia, with artists mainly working with local wood and natural materials, resulting in unique pieces. We believe this floor lamp dates from this period. It also has influences from the indigenous Aboriginal culture, as can be seen in the intricate wood motifs. One lampshade has diamond patterns, while the other has striped patterns. The floor lamp is still in good condition.
