The Viscontea is the result of Castiglioni's experiments with cocoon resin in the 1960s, which also led to the creation of the famous Gatto and Taraxacum lamps, which, like the Viscontea, became icons of Italian design. The enigmatic cloud-shaped design produces a diffuse light effect.
