Nice and rare industrial dining or working table designed by Friso Kramer for Ahrend de Cirkel, Holland 1955. This table is the second largest version made, 200 cm long top. This has a rectangular shaped top, finished with dark grey linoleum and an aluminum edge. The table has a rare dark grey lacquered frame in good condition with normal wear and losses. The table won, like a lot of designs by Friso Kramer, a Signe d´Or for its functionalism and design in that period! Would look great in any mid-century modernism design interior! Could use up to 6-8 chairs easily. The designs of Friso Kramer are highly sought after because of their progressive designs. Even though his items were designed several years ago, they still fit in the daily interiors. Friso Kramer was a functionalist, all of his pieces are well thought about and amazingly executed. Even though most of his designs were produced in large numbers the process before that was really intense and time taking. And the result of that was a great production process with fantastic ergonomic result. Friso Kramer is often compared to Jean Prouve. Musea often show the Revolt chair next to the Standard chair by Jean Prouve, not without reason. We are specialized in the industrial designs by Friso Kramer and we have built a large collection of Friso Kramer furniture.
