Vase "L'ultimatum", created in the 1990s by Sem Schanzer as part of the l'Anverre artists' collective. The vase was made by Zanotta. The vase is made of mouth-blown crystal glass. The "bullicante" technique, often used in l'Anverre glassware, was used to create the "air bubbles" inside the glass. Sem Schanzer, a self-taught artist, has been active in several fields, from sculpture to glass art to installations. He is not attached to a specific artistic movement. This versatility is reflected in his many works of art. In 1986, he founded the l'Anverre artists' collective, an interdisciplinary group based in Antwerp. As the driving force behind the group, he is also called Sem de l'Anverre. The collective shares an artistic and philosophical idea, striving to create a deeper meaning in an age where technology and science seem to distance us from our direct reality. United by nature and by their commitment to culture and gender diversity, the collective has gained international recognition. The vase is signed by the artist.
