Handcrafted Egyptian pictorial tapestry from the Giza Carpet School, dated to the late 1970s. Executed in a vertical format, the work depicts a stylized landscape with trees and birds, arranged in a balanced, ornamentally structured composition. The harmonious palette of greens, blues, ochres, and reds lends the tapestry a calm, timeless presence. The tapestry is distinguished by its dense knotting, precise articulation, and high level of craftsmanship, reading visually as a woven picture. It was acquired in connection with a major exhibition at theRoemer- and Pelizaeus-Museum Hildesheim, internationally renowned for its Egyptian collection. Overall good original condition. Minor scattered losses; some soiling in the upper area as well as to the fringes (as shown).
