Landscape with 2 swans

Beautifully naturalistic, large oval geometric Art Nouveau tile from the period 1896-1906. Sculptural, relief surface in polychrome coloring. Designed by Carl Sigmund Luber for Johann von Schwarz. This tile represents a complete landscape in itself. It was not intended as a tile to be part of a composite with other tiles in a mortar bed, but rather as an independent work of art. There are variations of this motif with two swans. The back of the tile is marked with serial number 1929, as well as number 38 (for the width in cm).
