Vase "Drop Honey" in crystal glass, created by the artist Sem Schanzer in the 1990s as part of the Anverre artists' collective. The artists of Anverre often sought to evoke the spirit of childhood in their creations. This can be seen in the use of swirling and playful forms, like this vase that resembles candied sugar or a drop of honey. Although several vases of the same type were produced using the same hand-blowing technique, each piece remains unique in its shape and coloring. Sem Schanzer, a self-taught artist, has been active in several fields, from sculpture to glasswork to installations. He is not attached to a specific artistic movement. This versatility is reflected in his many works of art. In 1986, he founded the Anverre artists' collective, an interdisciplinary group based in Antwerp. As the driving force behind the group, he is also known as Sem de l'Anverre. The collective shares an artistic and philosophical idea, striving to create a deeper meaning in an age when technology and science seem to be distancing us from our direct reality. United by nature and by their commitment to culture and gender diversity, the collective has gained international recognition. The vase is signed by the artist.
