Large and very heavy glass vase designed by the German glass artist Erich Jachmann in the 1960s. Manufacturer WMF. The vase was hand-formed and ground using the Sommerso technique. The Italian architect and glass artist Carlo Scarpa (1906 -1978) developed the Sommerso technique in the early 1930s as artistic director of the Venini company in Murano. Two or more layers of transparent and colored glass are placed on top of each other. Green color, with salmon-colored gradient. Perfect condition, without bumps or major scratches. Height 36cm. Location currently at the "Stand 132" gallery at Heimplatz in Zurich.
