Krištof Kintera (1973) People they always fuck it up (2021) Born on September 20, 1973, in Prague. Czech sculptor. From 1992 to 1999, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the studios of Jiří Lindovský, Aleš Veselý, Michael Bielický, and Milan Knížák, and then pursued postgraduate studies from 2003 to 2004 at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. He has been exhibiting independently since the mid-1990s. He was nominated three times for the Jindřich Chalupecký Award. The spectrum of Krištof Kintera's sculptural work is quite broad. It includes smaller sculptural objects as well as monumental sculptural compositions for galleries or public spaces. Kintera often uses various consumer products and electronic components as primary building materials, such as plastic balls, beverage cans, chandeliers, washing machines, bicycles, used battery cells, or printed circuit boards.
