White porcelain; the exterior decorated with two cartouches featuring polychrome cockerel motifs in an Asian manner, framed throughout with gold; foot, lower body and handle side mounted in silver, partly with finely pierced landscape and architectural decoration and outlined with delicate engraved lines; handle in the form of a sculptural dragon; height: approx. 4.5 cm; diameter including handle: approx. 11 cm; marked on the base: 4 examples with circular “8 ter” mark, 2 unmarked; saucers of slightly flattened octagonal form; centre with finely engraved and chased landscape, architectural and ornamental decoration; border divided into individual cartouches with finely pierced landscape, architectural and ornamental decoration; diameter: approx. 12 cm; marked on the underside: Vietnam 0.900 P.L.; 6 small spoons with tapered handles and chamfered corners; applied bands on the front and reverse with relief floral scrolls on a satin-finished ground; reverse stamped: Vietnam, 4 x V.H. and 2 x P.L.; length: approx. 10.5 cm; very good condition with patinated silver parts; total weight: approx. 913 g.
