The cardboard, as usual, shows some imperfections, including toning spots, creases, and scuffing on the upper edge.

Proof print of the 3 Kreuzer black on white cardboard, from a so-called make-ready sheet, which was made every time after setting up the printing plate. Fully to wide-margined on all sides, with a 7mm sheet edge at the top. The cardboard, as usual, shows some imperfections, including toning spots, creases, and scuffing on the upper edge. According to the Stegmüller photo certificate, these proof prints are rare and only came into collectors' hands because they were illegally given away by the printing house to students of the Bruchsal Gymnasium in 1860. For liquidation lots, bids up to 30% below the starting price are accepted - of course, only if no one bids higher!
