This Bauhaus side table from the 1930s originates from Czechoslovakian production and follows the design language that Czech license manufacturers like Halabala and Slezak shaped in that decade. The frame consists of chrome-plated tubular steel, bent into splayed, outwardly curved legs on black rubber glides. Two round wooden shelves are stained black and show a clearly visible ash grain. The upper plate is larger than the lower shelf, which gives the piece its characteristic proportions. Chrome-plated tubular steel and dark stained wood create a material contrast that is part of the Bauhaus aesthetic of the early 1930s. Black rubber glides protect the surface.

As a 1930s side table, the piece is designed with two tiers, making it suitable as a shelf next to the sofa as well as a side piece in the study. With a diameter of approx. 70 cm, it is present in terms of surface area without taking up much space. In a Berlin old building apartment, the chrome-plated tubular steel side table combines well with other Bauhaus furniture of the era as well as with mixed contemporary furnishings.
